The 2022 Cayenne Coupe E-Hybrid feels like the point where Porsche finally figured out how to make a heavy hybrid SUV genuinely fun to live with.

Battery Charging Issues: A few complaints involve the hybrid battery not charging fully or inconsistently.
Suspension Concerns: Air suspension may need maintenance if the vehicle is frequently driven on rough terrain.
Brakes: High-performance brakes may wear faster than expected, especially if the car is driven aggressively.

When everything works properly, the Cayenne E-Hybrid genuinely feels like the sweet spot in Porsche’s SUV lineup.

The only real concern is whether the complexity of these modern hybrid systems will still feel worth it once the warranty is gone.

Solid breakdown, but the real ownership concerns on the 2022 Cayenne E-Hybrid go way beyond simple infotainment glitches.

The biggest issue seems to be the hybrid charging system itself. Some owners reported charging port lock failures, random “Hybrid System Fault” warnings, or charging handshake issues depending on the charger used. Software updates are extremely important on these cars.

Another thing to watch for is low-speed drivetrain shudder during parking maneuvers or slow acceleration, sometimes linked to transfer case wear.

And the LiFePO4 12V battery can become a very expensive surprise if the car sits too long without proper charging.

Amazing SUV when everything works properly but definitely not a vehicle where you want to skip maintenance history or software records.

Anyone here already running one past 50k–60k miles long-term?
