Honestly, the first time I read the 9X specs, my reaction was: this feels intentionally over the top. 1,300+ hp, 6C charging, Level 3 autonomy, all in a full-size luxury SUV — on paper it borders on ridiculous.

What makes me take it seriously is that Zeekr hasn’t really behaved like a pure “PowerPoint brand” so far. With models like the 001 and 007, they actually delivered functioning cars in China before making big global promises. That track record matters, especially compared to some Western brands that announce far more than they ship.
To me, the 9X feels more like a technology showcase than a rational family SUV. The quoted 380 km CLTC EV range looks great on paper, but realistically it’s probably closer to 240–260 km in everyday use. Still, the idea of driving mostly electric in the city and never stressing about chargers on long trips is genuinely appealing.

My biggest question marks aren’t about performance it clearly has more than enough but about long-term reality:
