Tesla is set to implement significant price increases across its entire vehicle lineup in Canada, effective February 1, 2025. The adjustments are as follows:
Model 3:
Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): Price increase of C$4,000
Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD): Price increase of C$8,000
Performance: Price increase of C$9,000
Model Y:
All trims: Price increase of C$4,000
Model S:
All trims: Price increase of C$4,000
Model X:
All trims: Price increase of C$4,000

Tesla has not provided an official reason for these price hikes. However, the timing coincides with potential economic factors, such as anticipated tariffs. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has indicated readiness to respond if U.S. President Donald Trump imposes 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, which are set to take effect on February 1. Additionally, Canada already imposes a 100% tariff on electric vehicles imported from China, including those manufactured at Tesla's Shanghai factory.
These price increases also follow a recent adjustment where Tesla raised prices on all Model 3 and Model Y trims by C$1,000, resulting in the loss of eligibility for the federal $5,000 iZEV rebate.
For Canadian consumers considering a Tesla purchase, placing an order before February 1 may secure current pricing and potential incentives.
