Audi Q5 TFSI e 2022 owner experience January 2026
I bought a 2022 Audi Q5 TFSI e in the fall of 2025 so now in January 2026 I have around three to four months of real use The car had about thirty four thousand miles on it and I paid thirty seven thousand five hundred dollars It was not the cheapest one but it had a clean history and full service records so I went for that one
Most of my driving is city and short suburban trips If I charge it every day or every other day most of my driving is fully electric A full charge gives me around twenty to twenty two miles which covers my daily routine work errands shopping Many days the gas engine does not even turn on
Charging at home takes about two to two and a half hours A full charge costs me around one dollar fifty which is extremely cheap for a car this size When I stay in the city I barely use any gas
When the battery is empty and I go on longer trips fuel consumption is around twenty five to twenty seven miles per gallon Not amazing but not bad either In daily driving gas use is very low because so much of it is electric
The car is very nice to drive Quiet smooth and strong enough when needed Not sporty but very comfortable and relaxed on the highway
So far my costs have been an oil service and inspection for about three hundred fifty dollars Electricity adds around thirty to forty dollars a month Tires are expensive as expected and the brakes hardly wear thanks to regen
What I do not love is that in cold weather the gas engine comes on sooner than I want and if you do not charge it regularly you lose most of the benefit of having a plug in hybrid
Overall I am happy with it It is cheap to run around town comfortable on long trips and as a used buy in 2026 it feels like a really solid deal if you can plug it in regularly
